Tampa-based extreme metal outfit Blood Of Angels have returned with their most introspective offering to date, the haunting new single “Nevermore”. Accompanied by a lyric video, the track serves as a precursor to their forthcoming full-length concept album, Les Agnst ov Thanatou, which is set for release on 21st June 2026.
Centred around the psychological weight of mortality and grief, “Nevermore” represents the moment when hope and possibility are stripped away. However, the band notes that the track isn’t entirely devoid of light, concluding with a message of preservation through memory. Musically, the song marks an evolution for the band, leaning into alternative influences and classic doom metal. The arrangement features a spoken-word bridge set against low orchestral strings, heightening the atmospheric tension.
Recorded at Underground Studios in Florida, the new album traces humanity’s response to death through resistance, ritual, and acceptance. Since their formation in 2017, Blood Of Angels have earned international acclaim, including a 2023 Hollywood Independent Music Award. Following a sold-out headlining European tour in 2025, the band continues to establish themselves as a potent force in the global metal scene, blending melodic death metal with blackened atmospheres.
