Hunnu Rock pioneers The Hu have well and truly broken their silence, unleashing not one, but two brand-new tracks today. The Gold-certified Mongolian powerhouse has delivered “The Men” alongside an official music video, with the second track, “Warrior Chant“, also out now via Better Noise Music.
“The Men” is built on a gritty, groove-laden riff and traditional Mongolian strings, topped off with the band’s signature throat singing. Vocalist Galaa explains that the track is based on the Mongolian philosophy of “Man’s Inner Spirit” (Хийморь), focusing on inner strength, positivity, and kindness. Meanwhile, “Warrior Chant” is exactly what it says on the tin—a hard-charging anthem featuring horse head fiddle solos that imitate the gait of a horse. Both tracks follow the band’s recent appearance on the song “Pray to the Sun” for the Netflix One Piece series.
Speaking about the tracks, Galaa said:
“The Men” is written based on Mongolian philosophy of ‘Man’s Inner Spirit’ or ‘Хийморь’ and the importance of inner strength and kindness of a man to the world. Energy of men should always be reinforced with positiveness, strength and generosity, so this song tries to encapsulate that ancient wisdom and share it with the rest of humanity.
“Warrior Chant” lives up to its title with a hard-charging chorus and a tight and taut metallic soundscape. It has our signature rhythm that our fans fell in love with and everyone who knows us will say that it is our song.
The band have also confirmed they’ll be heading back to our shores for a massive headline tour in September and October 2026, with SKÁLD joining them as special guests. Before that, they’ll be appearing at the legendary Knebworth Park on 11th July, joining Iron Maiden for their “Run For Your Lives” tour alongside The Darkness and Airbourne.
