Teeth of Lamb unleash new album ‘Deathward’

German death/thrash outfit Teeth of Lamb have officially dropped their latest record, Deathward, via Kernkraftritter Records. If you like your metal fast, heavy, and unapologetic, this one should be right up your street. The band headed into their own “TOL Headquarter Studios” to get the tracks down before handing the mixing and mastering duties over to the capable hands of Torsten Sauerbrey at Metalsound Studios.

The band has a bit of a history, having been kicked off back in 2016 by former Striker (the German one, not the Canadians) guitarist Wolf J. Originally just on six-string duties, Wolf eventually stepped up to the mic as well. Like many bands, they’ve had a bit of a revolving door when it comes to the lineup, but things settled down in 2020 when bassist Piepsi Panic and drummer Chris Herdegen joined the ranks. As of last year, they’ve solidified themselves as a tight-knit three-piece, and that chemistry really shows on the new material.

They’ve certainly put the miles in to get to this point. Since their Termination World demo in 2017 and a self-titled EP a year later, the guys have been busy building a following. They’ve picked up plenty of radio play and have shared stages with some massive names on the circuit. After their 2020 debut Soul Gutter, they took their brand of noise across borders, touring through the likes of Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria, and Switzerland. It’s great to see a hard-working underground band keeping the thrash spirit alive and well across the continent.
