Sewer Altar get ready to unleash ‘Fever Dreams of Vengeance’

If you like your metal served with a side of absolute filth, then listen up. Finnish deathgrind mob Sewer Altar have just pulled the pin on the details for their upcoming debut full-length, and it sounds like a right proper rager. Titled Fever Dreams of Vengeance, the new record is set to drop this spring, and the band aren’t pulling any punches.

Described as a “viscous entity of blistering deathgrind,” these guys mix grimy breakdowns with d-beat energy that hits like a ton of bricks. We’ve had a cheeky listen to the sample track “Landfill Sky Burial,” and it’s a belter – pure sonic chaos that deals with the paranoia and irreverence aimed at the lower classes. It’s heavy, it’s fast, and it’s exactly what you need to wake the neighbours up on a Tuesday morning.

The release is a proper international effort, too. You can snag it on CD via 783Label and Hecatombe Records, while the vinyl version is being handled by 783Label, Hecatombe Records, and 7Degrees Records. For the old-school collectors out there, Iron Corpse Productions are putting it out on tape. Basically, there’s no excuse not to have a copy of this rattling your brain cells.

The band have been making a name for themselves in the underground scene, recently popping up on some cracking bills over in Helsinki. If the new material is anything like their previous output, we’re in for a treat. You can check out the video for “Landfill Sky Burial” on YouTube now to see what all the fuss is about.
