German alternative metal project Lantlos has dropped “Oxygen”, the final advance single from the upcoming sixth studio album, Nowhere in Between Forever. Slated for release on 3rd April 2026 via Prophecy Productions, the track marks the last stop before the full record arrives. You can pre-order the album now.
Mastermind Markus Skye describes “Oxygen” as a “Metal DnB” track, likening it to “rollerblading through a utopian vision of the late ’90s rave euphoria.” It’s a high-velocity journey that blends driving rock percussion with classic breakbeat rhythms, capturing the surreal optimism and digital faith of the turn of the millennium. Nowhere in Between Forever continues the evolution seen on its predecessor, Wildhund (2021). While Lantlos famously began in the black metal scene—later moving through blackgaze with Alcest’s Neige—the project has fully emerged into a unique sonic space that sits somewhere between Deftones, Smashing Pumpkins, and Devin Townsend. Skye notes that while the new material feels “sunny” and even poppy at times, there is a “hollow plastic feeling” built-in that hints at darker undertones.
The album features eleven tracks and was largely recorded at Skye’s home studio in Bonn, with additional recording at Ghost City Recordings. For those who prefer physical media, the record is being released in several eye-catching formats, including liquid-filled and glitter-filled vinyl editions limited to just 25 copies each.
