The Moshville Times - German death metal veterans Resurrected drop new title track “Perpetual”

German brutal death metal mainstays Resurrected are back with a vengeance. The band have just released the title track from their upcoming eighth studio album, Perpetual, which is set to land on 24th April 2026 via Testimony Records. If you’re a fan of old-school brutality with a modern punch, this one’s going to be right up your street.

Hailing from the Ruhr Area, Germany’s industrial heartland, the band have always drawn inspiration from the grit and noise of their surroundings. Perpetual marks a significant milestone for the guys, as it’s the first time in their thirty-plus year history that vocalist Chris Mieves brought the initial opening riff idea to the table. After adding Christoph Zeller to the line-up, the track was rounded off with a blistering guitar solo that the band describes as the icing on the cake.

Chris Mieves reckons the new single is a proper representation of where the band is at in 2026. He says the track is a journey through their evolution, mixing that raw, old-school nastiness with riffs that’ll have you down the front of the stage in no time. Interestingly, the band also noted that this is the fastest track they’ve ever recorded when it comes to the blast beats, so expect some serious speed from drummer Dennis Thiele.

Since forming in 1993, Resurrected have been a staple of the European scene, often mentioned in the same breath as heavyweights like Cannibal Corpse and Suffocation. We’ve kept a close eye on the scene for years, and while we’ve covered similar ground with the likes of Demonic Resurrection in the past, it’s great to see these German veterans still pushing the envelope.
