Fresh off a massive win at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards, Yungblud has caught us all off guard by announcing that the second chapter of his Idols project is dropping digitally this Friday, 20th February 2026. The new record, titled Idols II, acts as an expansion of the chart-topping album he unleashed last summer.
It’s been a hell of a month for the Doncaster lad. He recently bagged “Best Rock Performance” in Los Angeles for his powerful cover of Black Sabbath’s “Changes”, recorded during that emotional send-off at Villa Park. Not one to rest on his laurels, he’s now giving fans six brand-new tracks to sink their teeth into, including the lead single “Suburban Requiem”.
Speaking about the new material, Yungblud said that while the first part of the project was about finding himself again after a dark period, Part 2 is about the realisation that he’s still standing. He’s described it as a moment of feeling “invincible” and finally being able to breathe again after the chaos of the last few years.
The new release also includes the reworked version of “Zombie” featuring The Smashing Pumpkins. We had a proper look at that collaboration when it dropped last month – you can check out our thoughts on that pairing here. It’s a busy time for Dom, who also managed to secure his fourth UK Number One back in November with the Aerosmith collaboration One More Time.
If you’re a physical media nerd, there’s a store-exclusive Idols (Complete) double vinyl coming later this year which packs in all 19 tracks from both parts of the era. In the meantime, you can catch him on his sold-out UK arena tour this April, finishing up with a massive night at London’s O2 Arena.
