Gogol Bordello set to unleash new album ‘We Mean It, Man!’ this week

The masters of chaos in Gogol Bordello are back with their ninth studio album, We Mean It, Man!, set to drop on 13th February 2026. Released via frontman Eugene Hütz’s own label, Casa Gogol Records, the record was co-produced by the heavy-hitting team of Nick Launay (Nick Cave, IDLES) and Adam “Atom” Greenspan. It’s a bit of a “Frankenstein” project according to Hütz, pulling together their original loves: punk, hardcore, gypsy music, and even a bit of techno.

The latest single, “Ignition”, is a perfect example of this new direction, mixing massive arrangements with a post-punk dance vibe. It follows “Hater Liquidator”, a track Hütz describes as a “dancefloor crusher” designed to help us navigate the madness of the 2020s. The album also sees the band building on their 2023 collaboration with Bernard Sumner (New Order) on the track “Solidarity”, which has been updated to address the ongoing war in Ukraine – a cause Hütz has been championing relentlessly.

For those who love the band’s raw energy, Hütz reckons this is their most focused work since Gypsy Punks. They’ve stripped away the extra “raggle-taggle” bits and replaced them with punchy, hook-laden songs and gated-drum rhythms that’ll sound massive live. Speaking of live shows, the band have just finished up a European run and are heading across the pond for a North American tour later this month.

While the focus is on the US for the next few weeks, the band haven’t forgotten the UK. They’ve already been confirmed for some festival appearances later in the year, including a headline slot at Beautiful Days in August. Keep your eyes peeled for more UK dates as they’re bound to be heading back to our shores soon.
