The Moshville Times - Foo Fighters announce new album “Your Favorite Toy” and UK stadium dates

The Foo Fighters have officially kickstarted their 2026 by dropping a brand new single, “Your Favorite Toy”, the title track of their upcoming 12th studio album. Set for release on April 24th, the record looks to be a bit of a departure for the guys, with Dave Grohl describing the new material as the “fuse to the powder keg” for the sessions.

If you’re expecting the usual stadium-rock formula, “Your Favorite Toy” might catch you off guard. It’s an insidious earworm built on jagged guitar shards and sinister keyboard stabs, with Grohl opting for a more sardonic vocal delivery. It’s still unmistakably the Foos, but with a sharper, more rhythmic edge that feels fresh for a band over three decades into their career.

Dave Grohl had this to say about the track’s creation: “‘Your Favorite Toy’ really was the key that unlocked the tone and energetic direction of the new album. We stumbled upon it after experimenting with different sounds and dynamics for over a year, and the day it took shape I knew that we had to follow its lead. It was the fuse to the powder keg of songs we wound up recording for this record. It feels new.”

Recorded at home and co-produced by the band alongside Oliver Roman, Your Favorite Toy features ten tracks, including last year’s banger “Asking For A Friend”. We haven’t seen them on UK soil for a bit, so the news that they are returning for two massive headline shows at Liverpool’s Anfield Stadium this June is a proper result. These dates are part of the Take Cover world tour, which kicks off in Norway before heading across the Atlantic for a few festival slots.

The band remains a powerhouse of rock, and as we’ve seen at previous stadium outings, there’s nobody better at commanding a crowd of thousands without needing the bells and whistles. Just straight-up rock and roll.
