Münster’s finest emo punk outfit Shoreline have announced that their brand new album, Is This The Low Point Or The Moment After?, is set to land on 13th March 2026 via Pure Noise Records. It’s a bit of a wait, but to keep us going, the band have dropped not one but two new singles: “Sweet Spot” and “Out Of Touch”.
“Sweet Spot” comes with a music video which you can watch below, while “Out Of Touch” is available on all the usual streaming platforms. Speaking about the former track, vocalist Hansol Seung explains:
“Sweet Spot” explores the narrative of two people slowly drifting apart from each other without even noticing. It channels the anger of misunderstanding each other in a fast but very melodic pop punk track.
The new record is shaping up to be a bit of a belter. It’s a concept album that asks a question most of us have probably pondered at 3am: when you hit rock bottom, do you realise it’s the turning point, or do things have to get better before you can look back and identify it? The band have poured this existential dread into a sound that blends their emo and hardcore roots with a massive dose of alternative rock. If you’re into bands like Arm’s Length or Koyo, this should be right up your street.
It follows their previous effort To Figure Out, which saw the band tackling heavy subjects like the climate crisis and racism. Seung, who has spoken openly about his experiences growing up Asian-German, continues to explore themes of self-acceptance and identity on this new release.
