Atlanta’s finest, Sevendust, have dropped the news that their fifteenth studio album is on the way. Titled One, the record is scheduled to land on May 1st via Napalm Records. It’s a pretty impressive shift to reach album number fifteen with the same lineup of Lajon Witherspoon, Clint Lowery, John Connolly, Vince Hornsby, and Morgan Rose still firing on all cylinders nearly thirty years into the game.
The band claim the new record keeps their trademark heaviness while adding a few new twists to the formula. The album kicks off with the title track “One” and wraps up with an atmospheric closer called “Misdirection”. Other tracks getting a mention include “Is This The Real You” and “We Won”, which supposedly sit well alongside the classic bangers in their catalogue. For the collectors out there, Napalm Records have lined up a stack of physical formats, including various coloured vinyl options like translucent red and splattered patterns, as well as the standard CD digisleeves.
Right now, the guys are tearing it up across Europe supporting Alter Bridge and Daughtry. The whole package lands in the UK and Ireland at the end of this month. If you’ve got a ticket for the arena run, make sure you get down early. Sevendust are opening the bill, and you know they don’t mess about live. It’s going to be a cracking night of rock and metal from start to finish.
