Chaos Revealed unleash debut EP ‘Foretold in Ashes’

If you’re looking for something to shake off the January blues, Munich-based melodic death metal duo Chaos Revealed have just dropped their debut EP, Foretold in Ashes. Released on January 9th, the five-track record is available to stream now.

Formed by Konstantin Schäffer (vocals, guitars, bass) and Alexander Lankes (drums), the project aims to blend that classic, heavy melodeath sound with a bit of cinematic atmosphere. Think heavy riffs and harmonised leads paired with a proper death metal rhythm section. It’s aggressive, but it’s got those hooks that keep you coming back.

The band cites influences like In Flames, Sylosis, and Arch Enemy, so you have a rough idea of the playground they’re operating in. Foretold in Ashes tackles some hefty themes too, diving into concepts of free will, rebellion, and apocalyptic storytelling. It’s a studio project that feels like it has a much bigger sound than just two blokes from Germany.

You can check out the track “Mortal” below to get a taste of what they’re about.

Foretold in Ashes Tracklist:

  1. Mortal
  2. Burning Skies
  3. No One Above
  4. The One Who Sees
  5. The Plague
