The Moshville Times - Brutal Planet Records unearths rare Six Feet Under gems for vinyl and CD release

If you’re a collector of death metal vinyl, or just a fan of Chris Barnes’ signature guttural roar, you might want to clear some shelf space. Brutal Planet Records have done us all a solid by digging up two significant releases from the Six Feet Under catalogue: Unburied and Bringer of Blood.

For years, Unburied has been something of a ghost in the band’s discography. Originally released digitally back in 2018, physical copies were virtually non-existent, save for a few flimsy promo sleeves that hardly anyone could get their hands on. The collection features nine tracks pulled from the sessions for Undead, Unborn, and Torment. According to Barnes, these weren’t just throwaway cuts, but material he felt was “excellent Six Feet Under material” that captured the band in a “real raw” state.

Now, it’s finally getting the treatment it deserves. Brutal Planet is releasing Unburied on CD (which is out now) and a limited run of Opaque Turquoise vinyl, landing on February 15th, 2026. The release has been remastered by Rob Colwell and includes a proper 12-page lyric booklet—a massive step up from the old cardboard sleeves.

Also joining the reissue lineup is 2003’s Bringer of Blood. This one has been out of print on vinyl for over two decades, having only seen a single German pressing back in the day. It’s a bit of a classic for fans of that groove-heavy sound Barnes perfected after leaving Cannibal Corpse. This new edition is the first-ever US vinyl release for the album, pressed on “Blood Red” wax and limited to just 500 copies. Like Unburied, it’s been given the remaster treatment by Colwell and hits the shelves on February 15th, 2026.

If you want to secure a copy, you’d best be quick. The vinyl runs are strictly limited (500 for the LPs, 1,000 for the Unburied CD), and given how hard these have been to find in the past, they likely won’t hang about.
