Alter Bridge unleash “Scales Are Falling” just ahead of new album launch

With less than 24 hours to go until their eighth studio album hits the shelves, Alter Bridge have decided to squeeze in one last treat for the fans. The new single, “Scales Are Falling”, is out now and serves as the final preview of the self-titled record Alter Bridge, which lands tomorrow, 9th January, via Napalm Records.

The track is a classic slice of the band’s sound, dealing with the gut-punch of uncovering a lie. Frontman Myles Kennedy explains:

“It’s when you realise the reality of a situation where you’ve been deceived. You see the truth and how harsh it is.”

Guitarist Mark Tremonti adds that he was particularly keen to get this one out there, noting its “atmospheric vibe” and the fact that he takes the solo over the bridge while Myles handles the outro.

The new album sees the band reuniting with long-time producer Michael “Elvis” Baskette at 5150 Studios. It features 12 tracks, including the opener “Silent Divide” and the epic nine-minute closer “Slave To Master”, which clocks in as the longest track the lads have ever recorded.
