Italian rock outfit KLEE Project has returned to the airwaves, bringing their signature high-octane energy to the forefront with the release of their latest single, “Gothams Blood”. The new track features music composed by the team of Roberto Sterpetti and Enrico Scutti, with English lyrics provided by Jessie Galante. It serves as a heavy, atmospheric exploration of the eternal struggle between light and madness.
The lineup for this release sees Roberto Sterpetti handling guitar and vocals, supported by a formidable rhythm section comprising Daniele Iacono on drums and Lorenzo Poli on bass. The track is further elevated by the inclusion of electric guitar virtuoso Nicola Distaso. Distaso is a well-regarded figure in the Italian music scene, known for contributing his distinct style and technical proficiency to numerous major albums and live performances over the years.
Thematically, “Gothams Blood” frames a dialogue between chaos and justice, utilising the iconic rivalry between the Joker and Batman as a central narrative device. The song positions these two figures as distorted reflections of the same humanity. On one hand, the track channels the Joker’s voice of disillusionment, laughing through the pain to expose societal hypocrisy. On the other, it captures the perspective of the Dark Knight, a shadowed warrior walking a fine line between rage and redemption.
KLEE Project aims to turn this classic clash of good versus evil into a metaphor for an internal battle, suggesting that Gotham is not merely a fictional city but a symbol of our own world—corrupted, addicted to heroes, and often devoured by its own shadows. Musically, the single fuses cinematic intensity with dark rock energy, shifting dynamically between moments of fragile reflection and explosive power. It challenges the listener to confront their own dark side, asking where they stand in the battle for Gotham’s soul.
