Florida death groove outfit Endurus release new single/video “11:34”

Florida has a bit of a reputation when it comes to death metal. You can’t really talk about the genre without tipping your hat to the Tampa scene that spawned legends like Death, Obituary, and Morbid Angel. Well, keeping that heavy tradition alive – but with a hefty dose of bounce and perhaps a valid forklift certification – are Endurus.

The Tampa-based four-piece, comprising Ethan (vocals), Joe (guitars), Jason (bass), and Brandon (drums), have just unleashed their latest single, “11:34”. It follows a run of releases that prove these guys know exactly how to write a riff that sticks. If you missed their previous track, “2-Step Verification” (which tackled the sheer brutality of office IT security, of all things), you’ll want to catch up. The band describe themselves as a “Fork Lift Certified Death Groove Unit,” which tells you they’ve got a sense of humour to match the heaviness. I’d love one of their t-shirts but they don’t ship to the UK. Boo.

“11:34” continues their trend of mixing down-tuned, rhythmic aggression with the kind of technical chops you’d expect from the Sunshine State. It’s not just about speed; it’s about that deep, pocket-driven groove that makes you want to smash up your living room. The new track is available to stream right now on all the usual platforms, including Apple Music and Spotify.

If you fancy a bit of headbanging to shake off the festive cobwebs—or if you just need a soundtrack for operating heavy machinery safely – give it a spin. You can check out the new video below or give it a spin on Spotify.
