Immersyon release new single “Confrontar”

Heavy/thrash metal outfit Immersyon, hailing from the south of Chile, have launched “Confrontar”, the first single from their upcoming debut full-length album. The release continues to pave the path that the band has been forging since their inception in 2017.

“Confrontar” delves into the themes of social control and the mechanisms that uphold it: mass media programming, content selectivity, enforced consumerism, and the peddling of empty promises disguised as happiness. Discussing the track’s concept, the band states: “In real life, everyone looks out for their own interest; your power of decision decreases while manipulation and control are shown before your eyes, in broad daylight. We face this issue with endurance and resilience, on a track loaded with power and attitude.”

Immersyon, whose roots lie between Chiloé and Puerto Montt, have built a respectable sonic identity over the years. They released their three-track demo, Esclavo Silente, in 2019, followed by the Kalwarëngo EP in 2023. The latter explored themes of strength in adversity and the nature of power, accompanied by a lyric video for the title track and a music video for “Precursor de Mentiras” in 2024. Earlier in 2025, the band also released the single “Hermanos y Lobos”, a tribute to the mosh pit and metal brotherhood.

“Confrontar” was recorded independently by the band members, with recording duties handled by Carlos Almendra and Ariel Muñoz. Mixing was also by Almendra, with mastering by Pepe Lastarria. The artwork was created by Jaime Ojeda, with photography by Manuel Muñoz. With a sound characterized by heavy riffs, aggressive melodies, and lyrics reflecting on mythology, nature, society, and the human essence, Immersyon continue to carve their niche in the Chilean metal scene. The new single is available now on all major digital platforms.
