Technical death metal outfit Human have just unleashed their latest full-length offering to the masses. Titled Concetto Transeunte, the record officially dropped on November 20th and is available to stream on all major platforms now.
For those uninitiated with the project, Human was originally founded in 2010 by guitarist Edoardo Boccato. His vision was to explore the technical and conceptual limits of modern death metal, a journey that began as a solo project with the release of the debut album Cerebral Inwardness in 2015. Over the years, the project has morphed and evolved, navigating through several lineup changes before finally cementing a definitive roster in 2023. This stability has ushered in a new era for the band, culminating in this latest release.
Musically, the new album is described as a mesmerizing display of technical prowess built upon progressive structures. It targets fans of the genre’s heavyweights such as Obscura, Necrophagist, Archspire, and Beyond Creation. Listeners can expect the raw fire and fervour of traditional death metal, but pushed through twisted corridors of complexity. The band aims to blend this intricate instrumentation with an introspective atmosphere, creating a soundscape that feels like a journey through a hellish, ever-shifting landscape. If you like your metal precise, fast, and progressively minded, this is likely one to add to your rotation.
