Another huge figurehead in the world of rock and metal, KISS founding member and original guitarist Ace Frehley passes away today aged 74.
Frehley had a fall at home on September which resulted in him needing urgent medical care with stories of a “brain bleed”. This seems to be the cause being reported.
Regardless, Frehley was part of arguably – certainly a one point – the biggest band in the world. His legacy is staggering, with KISS being a major influence on generations of following rock and metal bands – and not just in terms of music, but imagery also.
As always our thoughts are with his family, friends and bandmates – and we somehow cherry pick a single example of the vast amount of music he leave us as part of his legacy. And, honestly, I think this is one of the hardest ones of these I’ve ever done, even if I limit it to the songs Frehley wrote.
