Seattle-based progressive metalcore outfit Oathbound have announced their signing of an exclusive worldwide deal with Eclipse Records. The band is set to release their second full-length album, Colors In Grey, through the label on March 6th, 2026. Pre-order it now!
The new album was produced by Oathbound themselves, engineered by Taylor Harper and Kalyan Lopez, and was mixed and mastered by the renowned Aaron Chaparian, whose previous credits include work with As I Lay Dying, Bleeding Through, and Chimaira.
The band members have expressed their collective excitement about the new partnership. Guitarist Taylor Harper described the signing as “the realization of a lifelong dream,” while vocalist Chris Fox added that he is “beyond honoured for this opportunity and for the support from such a reputable establishment in the industry.” The rest of the band echoed these sentiments, stating their eagerness to create the best music they can and acknowledging the milestone in their career.
Colors In Grey is described as a nine-track emotional excavation, confronting themes such as trauma, addiction, and heartbreak head-on. The record aims to forge these dark elements into a work of profound catharsis. The production promises to provide a powerful and dynamic space where crushing riffs and intricate rhythms land with visceral impact, avoiding the sterile sheen often found in modern heavy music. The album’s striking cover art, designed by Aaron Varshay, perfectly captures the emotional tension and nuance of the record’s mood.
