The annual Metal Merch Day fundraising campaign is taking place today, Friday, 24th October 2025. Now in its third year, the event raises money for the charity Metal For Good and embraces its core values of Togetherness, Individuality, Passion, Integrity, and Belonging.
Rock and metal fans are being urged to proudly wear their favourite band merch today and make a small charitable donation via the campaign’s Just Giving page.
New merch and artist collaborations
As an alternative to donating, supporters can purchase the official 2025 event t-shirt, which has been exclusively designed by Rory Petts (GraphicsFix), known for his work with bands like Raised By Owls, Cage Fight, and Party Cannon.
In a new initiative for this year, Metal For Good has also launched a selection of limited-edition band collaboration t-shirts. These partnerships include designs with Judas Priest’s legendary “Metal God” Rob Halford, hard rock band Black Spiders, and charity ambassadors Heriot and Massive Wagons.
Baz from Massive Wagons commented on their involvement: ‘It’s amazing to be involved with such a proactive and forward-thinking group of people like Metal For Good, their ideas are ace, and Metal Merch Day is just another great example of how they raise awareness and funds to help those struggling. We have based our design around the original artwork for our track ‘In It Together’. We think it looks great, I hope it sells well and raises some good funds for the cause!’
Fellow ambassadors Heriot are also supporting the day through the sales of an exclusive charity mug, which is available to buy from today.
All official merchandise, including the artist collaborations, is available from the Metal For Good merch store.

Metal Merch Day eBay auction
In addition to the new merchandise, the annual Metal Merch Day eBay auction is now live. The auction, which runs until 8 pm on 27th October, gives fans the chance to bid on unique rock memorabilia.
Items have been donated from a selection of artists, including Rival Sons, Iron Maiden, Those Damn Crows, Coheed and Cambria, and Creeper.
Download Festival’s Andy Copping has also donated dozens of items of music merchandise from his personal collection. “I love Metal For Good and what they stand for,” Copping said. “Once I was told they were doing a merch auction for their cause, I was more than happy to contribute. Going through some drawers at home and finding some classic merch pieces from years gone by, it felt good to know these were going to put to good use!”
Bids can be placed at the Metal For Good eBay store.

About Metal For Good
All money raised from Metal Merch Day will go towards funding UK-based community projects that use music to improve mental health, unlock young potential, and amplify underrepresented voices.
Since the charity’s formation in 2022, sixteen projects have received funding. Recent grant recipients include Scrapyard Studios, Building Circles: Gig Buddies, New Note Orchestra, and Shoreham Allstars.
Katy Baker, co-founder of Metal For Good, said: “Last year saw 1000s of music fans come together to celebrate their love of music merch and raise funds for incredible community projects using music to change lives. We are so excited to have the mighty Metal God – Rob Halford support the campaign alongside other amazing artists, brands and our charity ambassadors! We can’t wait to see what we can achieve together in 2025.”
