The Moshville Times - Kill Ritual announce new album, ‘In My Head’, and release title track

US heavy metal outfit Kill Ritual have unleashed their new single, “In My Head”. The track is the title song from their forthcoming album, In My Head, which is scheduled for release on 21st November 2025 via Massacre Records. Stream it now!

Steven D. Rice, the band’s lead guitarist, producer, and primary songwriter, offered some insight into the new single, describing it as a stark descent into institutionalised madness. He commented: “’In My Head’ is the typical tale of the mentally ill being abused in asylums. The torture and hopelessness they feel as being treated is visualized in the lyrics. There’s a lot of cool Eastern melody in the refrain with dreamy/nightmare vibes.” The description points towards the bleak and atmospheric subject matter that characterises the band’s new work.

The upcoming album, also entitled In My Head, will feature ten tracks that move between themes of vengeance, love, and the will to endure, promising a blend of “aggression with atmosphere, darkness with melody.” Rice took on the substantial role of handling production, arrangements, and lyrics. He is joined on the record by Judas on vocals and Seamus Gleason on drums, with Rice himself performing guitars, bass, additional vocals, and synths.

Recorded over the course of a year, the album was mixed and mastered by the legendary Andy LaRocque at his Sonic Train Studio in Sweden. The package is completed with striking artwork by Jobert Mello at Sledgehammer Graphix. This combination of talent promises a polished and powerful final product that captures the essence of Kill Ritual at their most uncompromising.

From the tormented opening of the title track to the haunting finale of “Our Elegant Demon,” In My Head guides the listener through a powerful narrative journey. The album stands as a compelling statement of identity and power from a band that continues to evolve without sacrificing its core sound.
