Cypriot death metal pioneers Vomitile unleash new EP ‘Faces of Terror’

The Cypriot death metal scene has a long-standing flagship, and that band, Vomitile, has just returned with new music. The Nicosia-based pioneers have unleashed their brand new EP, Faces of Terror. This new release marks their fifth official output, following a string of three full-length albums and a previous EP. The band looks set to solidify their reputation as one of the Mediterranean’s premier extreme metal acts with this latest slice of aggression.

The band kept the production of Faces of Terror close to home, handling recording and engineering duties themselves. The sessions were helmed by George Yildizian and Alexis Yiangoullis at the band’s own “Vomit Studios”. Yiangoullis also handled the mixing duties for the record, ensuring the sound remained true to their vision, before it was passed on to George Solonos for final mastering. The new EP is available to stream now on all major platforms and for purchase via the group’s Bandcamp page.

Vomitile first emerged from Nicosia back in 2007, quickly establishing themselves as trailblazers for the burgeoning death metal scene in Cyprus. They are known for an aggressive, precise, and utterly unrelenting sound that has defined their career for over 15 years. This dedication has translated into a powerful live reputation, making them a dominant force on stages across Europe. Over their career, they have earned high-profile support slots, sharing stages with legendary acts such as Sodom, Obituary, and Rotting Christ. Faces of Terror is the latest chapter in their story, building on their existing discography and solidifying their status in the wider metal world.
