Tenebro announce Dario Argento tribute album Una Lama d’Argento

Italian death metal duo Tenebro have announced details of their upcoming new album, Una Lama d’Argento, which is scheduled for release later this year via Time To Kill Records.

The entire album is a tribute to the undisputed master of horror cinema, Dario Argento. The eleven tracks are conceived as a journey through the dark and obsessive atmospheres of the films that shaped horror history, including Deep Red (1975), Suspiria (1977), Inferno (1980), Tenebre (1982), Phenomena (1985), and Opera (1987).

The band aims to translate Argento’s universe into a sound they dub “Giallo Metal,” featuring riffs as sharp as blades, guttural vocals, and relentless drumming. Iconic cinematic scenes are transformed into brutal and immersive sonic attacks, capturing the full horror and tension of the films. The cover artwork for the album, created by artist Julian Ibanez, has also been unveiled.

With this new work, the band reaffirms itself as one of the most uncompromising and distinctive acts in the Italian extreme underground.
