Single Bullet Theory return with a vengeance, unleashing their latest single, “They Will Come for You,” on 18th September 2025 across all digital platforms.
Frontman and founder Matt DiFabio explains:
“Single Bullet Theory has always been a bit of a hybrid metal band, and my influences as a writer range from the early grooves of Pantera and (Seattle’s) Panic all the way into the vehement nastiness of black metal and deep into the melodic roots of Priest and Maiden. This new song showcases a bit of everything SBT has displayed over the years and is a huge nod to our past while embracing the future.”
The track delivers a brutal statement on the history and reality of forced migration and deportation, drawing parallels between centuries of political actions and modern policies. DiFabio adds:
“This isn’t just history class. This is the sound of every wall, every checkpoint, every forced march. We’re not here to take sides—we’re here to drag the truth out into the light, no matter how ugly it is.”
The single features a blistering guest solo from James Murphy (Testament, Death, Obituary), who has a long-running history with the band. Mastering duties were handled by Sterling Winfield (Pantera, Pissing Razors), ensuring every riff and roar cuts with maximum impact.
Guitarist Dan Loughry has also rejoined the band, bringing renewed strength to the line-up. “Rejoining Single Bullet Theory feels like stepping back into a war I never truly left,” he says. “These new songs are heavier, darker, and more urgent than ever. ‘They Will Come for You’ hits with a truth and brutality that’s impossible to ignore, and I’m proud to be back in the trenches with this band.”
Alongside the new single, Single Bullet Theory will hit the road this autumn with groove-metal heavyweights Pissing Razors and Byzantine. They’re also releasing a collection of rare and previously unheard material spanning their 25-year career, underlining both the diversity of their sound and their refusal to compromise.
