Nuclear Dudes release new full-length Truth Paste

Truth Paste, the latest full-length from electro powerviolence duo Nuclear Dudes, is out now and streaming in full.

Formed in 2022 by Jon Weisnewski (Akimbo, Sandrider), Nuclear Dudes mash together extreme metal, synth-prog, powerviolence, and industrial noise. What began as a prolific bedroom project has since evolved, with Weisnewski joined by vocalist Brandon Nakamura (Doomsday 1999, Cat Toy, Teen Cthulhu), who he previously played with in short-lived grind act White Jazz. Originally brought on for live shows, Nakamura now fronts most of Truth Paste, his scathing vocals and darkly humorous lyrics cutting through the synthetic chaos and massive riffs.

Weisnewski admits the record was designed with live performance in mind, but the result has become the band’s most striking work to date. Mixing noise, industrial beats, extreme metal, and movie samples, Truth Paste feels like a ’90s rave where the candy necklaces have been swapped for bath salts.

All songs were written and recorded by Weisnewski, mixed by Matt Bayles, and mastered by Ed Brooks, with vocals by Nakamura and Weisnewski.

Truth Paste is available digitally via Bandcamp.
