New Zealand brutal death metal band Guttural Obliteration have released their debut EP Mounds of Scum. The release was recorded, mixed and mastered by Isaac Lundy in his home studio.
Formed in 2021 in Wellington, New Zealand, Guttural Obliteration is a slamming brutal death metal band founded by Jacob Sergent (vocals/production) and Isaac Lundy (guitar/bass/drum programming). Early singles “Smoking a Doob with E.T.” and “SADISTICUNT” gained underground attention. In 2025, they released their debut EP Mounds of Scum, marking a new chapter with guitarist/producer Jack Tippet joining the lineup. With crushing brutality and gore-driven themes, the band is pushing New Zealand death metal forward.
