French thrash metal band Ormagoden have released their new album Purphoros. The release was recorded, mixed and mastered at Tower Studio in Montpellier, France by Brett Caldas-Limas, who has worked with Devin Townsend and Septic Flesh.
Formed in 2018 in Grenoble, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Ormagoden blends speed, energy, and melody with old-school aggression. Their debut EP, The Den of Sin (2020), tackled themes of fanaticism and corruption. The band consists of Victor Lachat (vocals, guitars), Nicolas Bourgade (guitars, backing vocals), Alex Muscara (bass, backing vocals), and Leo Mouchonay (drums). Known for their incisive and fast-paced sound, Ormagoden continues to evolve while staying true to their thrash roots. With a refined lineup and growing ambition, they are poised to become a major force in French metal.
