The world of metal lost another brother today as reports come in that Frank Watkins passed away from cancer. Frank was a longstanding member of Obituary and more recently played bass for Gorgoroth.
Frank’s four-string skills featured on every Obituary release with the exception of debut Slowly We Rot. He carried this talent over to Gorgoroth and played on their two most recent albums. A respected member of the metal community, his death at only 47 years of age has resulted in a wave of condolences from many bands and individuals this evening as the news has broken, including Fear Factory who thanked him for taking them on their first tour.
The crew here at Moshville Times would like to pass their thoughts and best wishes to Frank’s family and friends. Another metal legend gone, but never forgotten.
