Ricky Interviews… Feral Ghoul

The Kingdom of Fife has its bludgeoning metal scene, and adding to the recent rise of upstarts from the east is horror death metal band Feral Ghoul.

Seemingly appearing from nowhere, they made their mark on the Scottish underground scene with the release of a live rehearsal entitled Chainsaw. Featuring a father and son on guitars — a rare setup in metal — the band blends Stevie’s experience from groups like Evil Blood with Dylan’s youthful energy, creating a raw edge that underlines their power.

I first witnessed them at their debut gig, Dead of Spring at Ivory Blacks in Glasgow, and they’ve been steadily gaining popularity ever since. It feels like the perfect time to talk about all things horror, hear what the band has planned, and find out where fans can catch them live in the near future. Check out Feral Ghoul and show support for this fresh new force in the Scottish death metal underground.
