Continuing our run of letting you know a little more about as many of the bands on at Bloodstock 2025 as we possibly can before you get a chance to see them, we have My Diligence. This bunch play on the Sophie Stage on the Friday.
Simple things first – where are you guys from?
We are from Brussels. A city both wounded and vibrant. A place of fracture and resilience. That’s where we learned to make noise and find silence within it.
How long have you been playing together as a band?
Time isn’t linear in our music. But if we must count, it’s been over a decade of carrying this weight together. We’ve changed skins, but the spirit stayed.
Where does the name of the band come from?
It’s a commitment. A discipline. My Diligence is the path — the unglamorous, repetitive work behind any true expression. It’s not about inspiration. It’s about obsession. About never looking away.
Describe your music. What makes you unique?
We play like we dig. Deep, slow, relentless. Somewhere between sludge, psychedelia, and noise, but never truly any of them. We create trance, not entertainment. We aim for that moment where time dissolves, and only the pulse remains.

What’s your live show like? Why are people going to watch you instead of another band?
We don’t perform. We offer. What we do is not a show. It’s a purge. We bring honesty, weight, and vulnerability. Those who need it will feel it. And if they don’t — that’s fine. We’re not here to please.
Have you played Bloodstock before? If so, when?
No. But we’ve dreamed of it. Some dreams come late, but they always arrive when they must.
How/when did you find out that you’d be playing the SOPHIE stage?
One message. A few words. And something shifted inside. We don’t take stages lightly. It’s a responsibility. Especially this one.
What sort of setlist can we expect?
Expect nothing. Just come open. We’ll bring you weight, repetition, and release. Some things old, some new. All of them real.
Stage times haven’t been announced yet, so which other band do you most hope you’re not clashing with so you can see them play?
Whoever opens the wound the deepest. Whoever turns the volume into a prayer. If Ministry is there, we’ll be there. In silence. With respect.
What are you working on at the moment?
We’ve just opened a new chapter. An album forged in death, absence, and transformation. Now we’re working on the image — a video, a visual mirror of the sound. Everything must be one.
What’s the wildest thing you’ve seen or done at a live show?
Wild doesn’t always mean loud. Sometimes it’s the person in the front row, tears streaming down, eyes closed. Sometimes it’s someone collapsing when the last note fades. Those are the moments that stay.
What drink do you throw back to get yourself fired up before going on?
We don’t fire up. We descend. Maybe a single shot. Whiskey or mezcal. But the real ignition is silence, tension, and the presence of each other.
