Continuing our run of letting you know a little more about as many of the bands on at Bloodstock 2025 as we possibly can before you get a chance to see them, we have Mechromorph. This bunch play on the New Blood Stage on the Saturday.
Simple things first – where are you guys from?
Clacton-on-Sea.
How long have you been playing together as a band?
The band formed in 2014, we have since been through a few line up changes, recently we welcomed Subash Rana to the Mechromorph family on drums. The current line up has been playing together a little over a year.
Where does the name of the band come from?
The band name comes from the Dead Space horror game franchise, Inspired by the Necromorphs (reanimated corpses and other dead tissue morphed into new horrific forms), we added the biomechanical elements and our twists on the lore, hence the name – Mechromorph. We also draw a lot of inspiration from horror and sci-fi movies / books.
Describe your music. What makes you unique?
We are a blend of death metal with elements of tech death, slam and deathcore.
What’s your live show like? Why are people going to watch you instead of another band?
We bring high intense energy crushing riffs, pig squeals and slams.

Have you been to Bloodstock before? What did you think?
Myself, George and Pat have all been to bloodstock multiple times due to it being our favourite uk festival and have always thoroughly enjoyed our time there, it always feels like home and we cannot wait to grace the holy fields of Catton Hall once again.
Which M2tM region did you win, or did you come through other channels?
We won the Essex M2TM.
Can you put into 10 words or fewer how it felt when you realised you were heading to Bloodstock?
Fucking amazing!
What sort of setlist can we expect?
You can expect a setlist that bring relentless energy, heavy riffs and a blend of styles across the death metal spectrum. This includes blastbeat-driven brutality and technical chaos. Expect mosh worthy breakdowns, guttural vocals and just pure, punishing metal.
Stage times haven’t been announced yet, so which other band do you most hope you’re not clashing with so you can see them play?
Heriot & Cage Fight would be the main bands we’d like to see.
What are you working on at the moment?
We are currently working on releasing our album.
What’s the wildest thing you’ve seen or done at a live show?
We have had a person KO’d during our set by body slam at a show in Sheffield.
What drink do you throw back to get yourself fired up before going on stage?
Beer, or in Pat’s case a coffee!
