As ever, we’re going to try and cover every single Jäger, New Blood and SOPHIE stage band before Bloodstock kicks off on August 10th. Your chance to check them out and start planning which bands to get there early for!
Trust us when we tell you that this is bound to result in some frustrating clashes because, as ever, there are some great bands on these three stages.

Simple things first – where are you guys from?
A little shithole called Kettering.
How long have you been playing together as a band?
About two years. The origins of our band are a bit vague, as we’ve been intoxicated most of this time…
Where does the name of the band come from?
It means nothing, its a cool word. Unitra means whatever you want it to be.
Describe your music. What makes you unique?
We are Unitra and we play heavy metal. We’re bringing 80’s spirit to the modern world, plus we’re kicking your face with our aggression. It’s all about energy.
What’s your live show like? Why are people going to watch you instead of another band?
Because we wear spandex and bang our heads till we bleed. And we swear a lot. Once you experience a Unitra gig, you’ll never be the same.
Have you been to Bloodstock before? What did you think?
Two thirds of us have been, only one of us is a poser who missed this awesome party. The majority says it was way beyond the madness..
Did you enter M2TM thinking you could win it? Which region did you win?
We went there just to play get drunk and bang some chicks. Apparently it turned out we could play Bloodstock so it’s a win win situation.
What sort of setlist can we expect?
We’ll start from the very depths of hell with Venom. And then for the next thirty minutes your ears and eyes will bleed, penises will be erect and vaginas will be moist.
Which main stage band do you most hope you’re not squished up next to so you can see them play?
Definitely Megadeth! Oh, and Possessed!
What are you working on at the moment?
We’re in the middle of the recording of our first EP, and our second music video so it’s quite busy time for us right now… And practicing drinking…
What’s the wildest thing you’ve seen or done on tour?
Probably random people taking heroine at the squat we supposed to sleep in after the gig. Or being lost in a random German city, or meeting some lovely French girl that offered her mouth services to each member of the band, if you know what I mean. We’re not too wild.
