I can’t believe the only time we featured Extize was for their support slot with Combichrist last year. The German-based club/techno act are crossing genres all the time and were hugely entertaining on stage at Slay. They’ve done some good covers in the past as well as songs influenced and based on classic films like A Nightmare on Elm Street, Hellraiser and Back To The Future.
This time they’ve taken one of Type O’s more upbeat numbers (that is, one step up from depressing and miserable) and rammed some dance beats into it. Somehow, I don’t know how, it freaking works. Give it a spin and see what you think.
And a subtle hint to Extize: It would be great to see this one live if you were perhaps to make your way back over to Glasgow again sometime?
