Classic Cover: Antirope – “Sunshine Of Your Love” (original by Cream)

Munich’s alternative metal powerhouse Antirope has released a haunting new music video for their cover of Cream’s “Sunshine of Your Love.” Directed by guitarist Patrick Fleischer and filmed at Lass Mich Tanzen, the video swaps psychedelic flair for a suffocating, doom-influenced atmosphere. By slowing the tempo to a crawl, the band transforms the classic track into a hypnotic, minimalist experience focused on shadows and raw emotion.

Vocalist Slaven Stokic explains that the video eschews a traditional plot for a sensory journey, allowing for personal interpretation. This “less is more” philosophy aligns with the band’s core influences, ranging from Black Sabbath to Soundgarden, creating a sound where the psychedelic turns “cruel.” Despite the precision required for such a slow-paced production, the band embraced minor imperfections to maintain an authentic, unpolished energy.

Featuring bassist Julie Fleischer and drummer Jürgen “BamBam” Wiehler, Antirope continues to solidify their reputation for fearless, tension-driven art that pulls listeners into a dark sonic vacuum. This is the third music video taken from their full-length album Bring Me to Zero, which was released on 1st May 2026 via Eclipse Records.

Bring Me to Zero marks a significant evolution for the Munich-based band. Produced by guitarist Patrick Fleischer at Lungfull Studios, the album promises a heavier, more hook-driven sound characterized by bold vocal arrangements and an explosive rhythmic backbone. The record contains eleven tracks, including standouts like “Zero,” “Intervention,” and “Afterglow,” balancing brutality with beauty in a way that feels like a psychological descent.
