Rob Lane is now part of The Traitors, the band fronted by previous solo artist Ryan Hamilton. He’s also got his fingers in a few other musical pies, and has an unashamed liking of classic 80s films.
The result of the latter is a project called Straight to Video which we’ve featured before. Under this banner, Rob (along with a bevy of guests) has released two albums full of covers of songs from old movies. He’s recently released another video for one of the songs, this time a Soul Asylum number that featured in Kevin Smith’s seminal Clerks.
Soul Asylum’s own video for this song was directed by Smith himself. I think Rob’s done a pretty good job with this one!
