Ahead of the release of their debut album, JOI, in the Summer, French alternative-rockers, Ze Gran Zeft, have released their cover version of 90’s pop tune, Spaceman, for free download.
“Spaceman” is a cover of Babylon Zoo’s hit from 1992, where Ze Gran Zeft, have put their own spin on their track, changing the lyrics for the verses and the pre-chorus to fit more with the album’s direction, talking about dealing with the urge of starting again after a huge change in life.
The track compliments and introduces you to the sound which the album is heavily focused on, with their mix of rock, hip-hop, and electro, showing that the band are not afraid to cross genres, and creating heavy riffs, swag flows and 80’s synth inspired by retro-gaming from the S-NES and Sega Megadrive era. The track features lead guitarist from Falling In Reverse, Jacky C Vincent.
