We have officially crossed the halfway point in our 2025 advent calendar. For the 13th entry in our 24 Songs of Christmas countdown, we are heading over to the States for a dose of classic rock holiday cheer. Texas-based outfit The Speaker Wars have dropped a brand new seasonal track titled “Brighten the Corner”, and it’s been added to our whopping big year-on-year playlist.
The single, which is out now via Frontiers Music Srl, features the legendary drumming talents of Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Stan Lynch. Best known as a founding member of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Lynch spent two decades touring the world before shifting his focus to the other side of the mixing desk. Over the years, he has built an impressive resume writing and producing for giants like the Eagles, Don Henley, and Ringo Starr.
Lynch met acclaimed singer-songwriter Jon Christopher Davis in Nashville. While Davis was initially gathering material for a major label solo record, the chemistry was undeniable. They decided to scrap the solo project and form a band instead, recruiting Jay Michael Smith, Brian Patterson, Steve Ritter, and Jay Brown to complete the lineup.
To celebrate the release of “Brighten the Corner”, the band has a special offer running for fans. Those who purchase their self-titled debut album, The Speaker Wars, via the Frontiers US webstore will receive a free download of the new Christmas track. Additionally, while supplies last, orders will include an exclusive Christmas card signed by Stan Lynch himself.
