Kit Trigg releases “Grow With the Flow” ahead of upcoming live dates

Farnham-based skate rockers Kit Trigg have shared a captivating new video for their track “Grow with the Flow” ahead of a string of tour dates as special guests to Marisa and the Moths. The track is taken from Kit’s latest EP Goin’ for Glory and features stripped back guitar and a powerful vocal which soulfully channels the raw emotion of this heartfelt ballad.

Speaking of the track, Kit enthuses:

“Grow with the Flow” is one of those songs that almost wrote itself – it was recorded in one take and will forever be a track that I’m immensely proud of. I received possibly one of the worst pieces of news after hearing a local skateboarder who I proudly call a friend, Will Glover, had a fatal car accident and the immediate grief caused this song to explode into existence. It is about how our tears water our future, and realising that life isn’t linear, it keeps moving in all directions. It brought me a lot of peace with what happened to my friend and I will be thinking of him each time we play this song live.

The video itself was filmed on Kit’s phone with the assistance of his faithful border collie Percy in a field 100 metres from where he was born.

Fresh from a weekend of shows supporting rock titans Massive Wagons in Scotland, Kit and the gang hit the road as special guests to Marisa and The Moths this weekend, kicking things off in Southampton on Saturday, before bringing the rock and roll show to Manchester, Nottingham and London next weekend. The tour marks the beginning of a busy summer for the band, with festival appearances confirmed at Call of the Wild, Love Rocks and Urban Van Festival, before another lap around the UK in October as special guests to Sons of Liberty.

“Grow with the Flow” features on Kit and the gang’s latest EP Goin’ for Glory – released in December 2023 to critical acclaim with previous singles scoring Planet Rock airplay and Classic Rock “Track of the Week” nominations . Showcasing a real depth and diversity, the EP is thematically rooted in optimism but with an edge that cuts through to the real world, and is a taste of what’s to come on their forthcoming album.

The band consists of long-time friends Kit Trigg (vocals, guitar), Guy Fenegan (bass, backing vocals) and Nic Sleight (drums, backing vocals), who write classic rock songs for the present day. Having completed multiple tours around the UK and Ireland, selling out shows from Newcastle to Brighton, and opening for the likes of Muddy Waters Jr, Nick Oliveri, The Dust Coda and These Wicked Rivers, the band are primed and ready to take their captivating live show to the far corners of the UK (and beyond).

With a rapidly filling calendar, new music soon to be announced and a truly infectious rock and roll spirit, one thing is for sure; Kit Trigg will be riding this wave into a town near you, very soon
